Members,
You have or will receive a letter from Qwest...it will be in an envelope
advertising the "You Can" program...OPEN THIS AND READ THE FIRST PARAGRAPH AS IT
ANNOUNCES A CHANGE IN OUR LONG DISTANCE CONCESSION.
I've included a copy of the letter below just in case you haven't seen yours
yet. It is important that you contact Qwest before March 10 to change your AT&T
long distance to Qwest LD to keep your Long distance concession. The rest of
your concession remains the same as will the amount of your LD.
Please note that this letter applies only to individuals who currently receive
(or who have been receiving) reimbursement on certain AT&T long-distance
charges.

Dear Qwest Retiree,
We hope you’ve been enjoying your concession discounts on AT&T long-distance. To
continue to receive your concession on long-distance service, you must change
your long-distance provider from AT&T to Qwest* by March 10, 2005. After this
date, AT&T long-distance charges will no longer be eligible for concession
discounts. Your concession will remain the same, only it now will be applied to
Qwest long-distance charges.
And we’ve made the switch easy; it takes just one phone call.
Call 866-872-0242 to sign up for Qwest® long-distance. Qwest representatives are
available from Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
mountain standard time and
8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. mountain standard time on Saturday. When speaking with a
representative, please be sure to tell him or her that you are a Qwest retiree
who currently has AT&T as your long-distance service provider.
Remember: You need to switch to Qwest long-distance no later than March 10,
2005, to continue to enjoy these discounts.
Note: The changes described in this letter apply only to retirees who have Qwest
local telephone service. Those retirees who receive local service from a company
other than Qwest, should continue to submit their long-distance telephone bills
to the concession office in Omaha.
Earn Rewards, Make Referrals
You use Qwest products. Now you can earn rewards for referring family and
friends through the YOU CAN® Refer a Friend program. You’ll earn recognition and
rewards for introducing others to Qwest products and services.
Participation in the program is easy and voluntary. The enclosed program guide
explains how to enroll in the program, refer friends and family and receive your
rewards. And to show you how profitable the YOU CAN Refer a Friend program can
be, we’ll begin by rewarding you $10 just for joining the program. You can even
donate your reward dollars to the Qwest Pioneers, if you’d like!
Don’t delay; call Qwest to make the switch today!
Sincerely,
The Qwest Corporate Discount Program
*You received a letter in late 2003 giving you advance notice of these changes.
Please note that this letter applies only to individuals who currently receive
(or who have been receiving) reimbursement on certain AT&T long-distance
charges.
