The Association of U S West Retirees (AUSWR) represents more than 40,000 Qwest Communications retirees and surviving spouses. The Association was formed in 1999 to halt the company's growing neglect of its retirees; to insure that each retiree receives every benefit earned as a result of their long service to the company. Qwest's retirees lived up to their part of the bargain and should not have to accept less from the company.
The Association serves all U S West and Qwest retirees, whenever they may have retired and whereever they may live. Its members were the operators, repair clerks, installers, linemen, engineers, network planners, . . . . craft, management , and officers . . . , employees from every department who worked to provide reliable quality telephone service to homes, businesses, institutions and governments in the fourteen states served by U S West and Qwest.
Affiliated with the NRLN. Go to http://www.nrln.org/
The AUSWR is a founding member of the National Retiree Legislative Network (NRLN). The NRLN is a nonpartisan, grassroots federation of retiree organizations working at the national level, lobbying Congress to protect and enhance retiree health and pensions benefits. |
This website is supported by the
Association of U S West Retirees Inc.
It is designed to disseminate information to retirees of Qwest and
it's predecessor companies regarding benefits, pensions, legal, legislation
and any other important matters that may affect them.
