attorneys seek to review notes
Thursday, October 19, 2006
DENVER - Attorneys for former Qwest chief Joseph Nacchio have
asked a federal judge for permission to review notes taken by
government attorneys during interviews of 13 potential
witnesses, including former Qwest CFO Robin Szeliga, in
Nacchio's criminal insider-trading case.
Portions of the interviews were disclosed in filings made
Wednesday, including notes that suggested Szeliga may be willing
to testify that she thought "Nacchio would do whatever he had to
do to prop up (Qwest's) stock price."
Nacchio faces 42 counts of illegal insider trading.
