Heavy Duty’ Internet connections
July 22, 2010
Officials for Denver-based Qwest (NYSE:Q) said the goal has been
to develop a dependable, secure fiber-optic network along with
access for people at home or on the road.
“At the end of the day, Qwest customers want an easy-to-use,
secure, reliable and robust internet experience that brings all
their home devices together,” said Jim Campbell, Qwest president
for Arizona. “Qwest Heavy Duty Internet allows users to ‘do it
all’ from downloading movies, gaming, sharing photos when and
where they want – in the home or around town.”
The service features Qwest’s previously announced connection
with speeds up to 40 megabit per second. It also comes with
Qwest@Ease, a suite of online security services and options for
online backup.
The services are similar to what Cox Communications Inc. offers
as Qwest’s direct competitor in the Valley.
