After Qwest merger, Seattle to become
regional headquarters

After CenturyLink Inc.
completes its acquisition of Qwest Communications International
Inc.,
Monroe, La.-based
CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL) said that will happen once the deal’s
cleared all regulatory hurdles and the transaction is officially
completed, which is expected to happen during the first half of
next year.
CenturyLink/Qwest
officials didn’t say how many employees would work at the
regional headquarters, although it’s expected to have a
relatively small staff, according to a spokesman.
When the deal closes with Denver-based Qwest (NYSE: Q),
Brian Stading
will become Northwest region president. Stading currently works
