Workforce Solutions unveils new services January 5, 2010 The Department of Workforce Solutions is
rolling out a new voice mail notification system for those
claiming unemployment insurance. The state agency says claimants will now
receive voice mail messages from the department alerting them to
receipt of weekly certification data, new system capabilities,
extension qualifications and other claim information. The Qwest Notify system is part of the
unemployment insurance modernization project at Workforce
Solutions. The department also plans to add a toll free number
for claimants, more than 800 more phone lines and a self-service
function to the unemployment insurance call center. A new,
“user-friendly” unemployment insurance application online is
also expected soon.
