DOL answer to Hull Complaint

I have attached hereto in Adobe PDF file format a copy of the Answer filed
on July 15 by the Department of Labor (DOL) through the United States
Attorney office in Denver. There is nothing unusual about this general denial
Answer.
The issues concern Mimi Hull's right to see the papers the DOL has received
from Qwest about the Qwest Pension Plan and whether the DOL has the right to
refuse to tell us anything about the "pending investigation." Most likely,
Judge Babcock will conduct an "in camera" review of the contested documents and,
then, decide whether the DOL's position under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
is justified.
Eventually, Chief Judge Babcock will schedule this FOIA case for a public
hearing. He has not assigned the case to a Magistrate Judge, meaning he will
personally handle this case. I will keep AUSWR updated, but, there is nothing
scheduled and nothing else to report about the case at this time.
