This update concerns the Kerber v. Qwest  case (Pension Death Benefits case).  The Amended Complaint was served on Qwest on May 6, 2005.
 
 
Today, Qwest's counsel filed a motion asking the federal judge for an additional 45 days or until July 11, 2005, within which to file an Answer or otherwise respond.  Qwest's counsel says "[t]he Amended Complaint contains extensive factual allegations, in addition to legal issues requiring significant investigation by Defendants prior to filing an informed responsive pleading."
 
 
We have no objection to Qwest's request for more time.  So, the extension will be granted.  The next update will be sent after the papers filed on July 11, 2005.
