This is the latest about the Colvin v. Qwest (Retiree
Telephone Concession case). . .
As you know, on Friday, January 14, 2005, Qwest attorneys and I
submitted a joint paper containing proposed findings of fact and
conclusions of law. In that court filing, we explained why Judge
Schiferl should not
allow Rathbun to interfere, and he should proceed with preliminary
approval of the proposed class action settlement so that we can go
forward with the process.
Today, I spoke by telephone with Judge Schiferl's division clerk
and she stated the judge is still working on the matter and has not
yet made a decision. As soon as his decision is made, she will
contact all counsel involved and, of course, I will pass the information
on to AUSWR.
